About Joe

Joe Allen-Black is a 20-something-year-old Web developer and producer who loves teen-angst movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, pistachios and the color green.
He's a resident of Jacksonville, Fla., where he is digital media data and projects developer for The Florida Times-Union/Jacksonville.com -- a job that affords him enough money to feed his desire to buy new gadgets and to regularly visit Disney World (specifically Epcot).
Joe grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from high school in Muskegon, Mich., on the state's west side. During high school, he worked for the local Muskegon Chronicle, a Newhouse newspaper.
While in college, he interned for five newspapers and was editor of the University of Florida's student-run paper, the Independent Florida Alligator.
He started at the The Florida Times-Union immediately before graduating from the University of Florida.
In his spare time, he spends entirely too much time redoing Food Network recipes.
